I was walking my usual route 
home from work. 

From downtown, past the gas station, 
and to the block where I live. 

By the gas station, a car came 
and slowly approached me. 

“Do you want a ride?” 
called out the driver. 

I did not recognise him 
so I did not answer. 

I tried to walk away. 

He drove slowly beside me. 

When I looked into the car I saw 
that he had undone his trousers 
and held his penis in his hand. 

I was scared. 

I felt my heart 
start beating faster. 

I tried to look straight ahead 
and walk as fast as I could. 

Finally I started running. 

And the car drove away. 

At home, I cried. 

The staff asked me why 
I was sad. 

They were angry at the man in the car 
and helped me call the police. 

After that day 
a few of my friends and I 
started walking to and from work 
together. 

It felt good 
to walk together. 

I saw the car several times 
but it did not stop. 

I think he did not dare to stop 
now that several of us 
were walking together. 

My friend Sofie 
will scream really loud 
if someone does something stupid. 

So I think I will do that 
if he stops me again.
