Three people have fun at a dining table.

Safe at home

You have the right to be safe
in your home.

You have the right to be safe
with the people
you live with.

This could be your family
or other people.

If someone you live with
does something sexual to you
even though you do not want to
you have the right to say no!

No one may force you
to do something sexual
against your will.

It can be especially hard
to say no to your family
or anyone else
you are close to.

You always have the right to say no!

If you have been subjected
to sexual violence in your home
you have the right to receive help.

Tell someone
who you trust.
It could be a friend,
counsellor or someone in your family.

You can contact social services.

They can help you
get to a women’s shelter
if you need to do that.

At the women’s shelter, you
can talk to someone.

You can also stay there
if you need shelter.

If you are threatened or harmed
by your family
or someone else you live with,
you should find help.

Help is available!

You have the right to report it to the police.
Even if a family member
has threatened or hurt you.
